How fed up are you Cleethorpes people of all this persistent rain?

Torrential rain with thunder lashed down our area this afternoon and the amount of rain that fell was frightening.
So when you see the on the news the flooded areas like Hebdon Bridge etc, I just think there but for the grace of God!
Apparently the 'jet stream' is further south than it should be for this time of year meaning Britain is under a blanket of low pressure - and they are not kidding!
I know local businesses are suffering because of the wet conditions. One Cleethorpes business women told me: "I am sick to death of the weather, just as much as everyone else, but my business is paying a high price as visitor numbers are down - they are just not coming into Cleethorpes as they should be at this time of year.
"It's everywhere, so why would you come out to Cleethorpes when you can get perfectly soaked to the skin at home!"
I've just looked at the weather forecast for this area for the next few days and, considering, it's not going to be too bad - my fingers are crossed with my umbrella under my arm!

ReportIt is all very depressing but there ain't nowt you can do about it! Many businesses will be suffering and of course we Cleethorpes people will suffer as farmers are saying the rain is ruining crops so the price of vegetables etc will be sky-high soon
