Man approached 3-year-old boy in Grimsby Town centre

Police in Grimsby are trying to locate and identify a man after he behaved suspiciously in the town centre.

â¨It is said that the man approached a three-year-old boy who was with his grandmother at the time and spoke to the child before offering him his hand as if to lead him away.
The child's grandmother pulled the child away and the man then walked away down the side of Wilkinsons towards St James Church. The incident took place at approximately 1.45pm on Friday, June 29.
No harm came to the child and it is not clear what the intentions of the man were and so police would like to talk to him to ascertain what happened.
The man is described as being of Chinese appearance, aged in his late 50s, approximately 5ft 5ins tall, medium build with a receding hair line and wearing a pair of brown trousers and a light coloured t-shirt.
Police are asking for him to make contact with them or anyone who saw the incident or recognises the description of the man to get in touch on the non emergency number 101 referring to log 383 of 29 June or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
