North East Lincolnshire Council is to set up a select committee to review the terms and conditions of Humberston Fitties leases following a consultation with tenants.

The consultation was launched following receipt of a petition in 2010, which called for longer leases of 15 years and a reduction in the chalet park's closed season, from eight weeks to two weeks.
Some three-quarters of respondents in the consultation said they backed a review which would look at the length of leases, the period of the Fitties closed season, and service charges relating to the chalet park.
In response to the findings, the Policy, Performance and Resources Scrutiny Panel will meet on Friday, August 10, at 2pm to decide the scope of a select committee which will meet in the autumn to carry out the review into lease terms.

Is this just to edge it closer and closer to the 52 weeks?
Some of those being built on there now are like Grand Designs - huge glass and metal constructions, more like proper houses so you can see how they are pushing for all year round residency.
I don't agree that they should pay service charge for the weeks they are not allowed to be there though.
