Hats off to the hundreds of people who ran for Sport Relief along the Cleethorpes Promenade this morning.
Amongst the throng of people running the one, three and six mile course we had Freddie Mercury, Batman and Robin, Scooby Doo, fairies, teddies, three-legged runners, people in wheel chairs, a girl on crutches, chickens, Mario and Luigi, a Bee and Mighty Mariner, Spider Man, Stig, horses, dogs, various other animals.
There was a warm atmosphere as the stewards, the warm-up woman and the compere on the mic organised everyone to do their bit for the nation's Sport Relief, despite the misty sea fret still lingering along the beach.
It was good to see families coming together even with their dogs to raise money for this very special cause.
Well done to the winner of the three mile run, who was Cleethorpes man Bob Smith, of Howlett Road, who ran it in 20 min 58 secs!
A big 'thank you' to all you special people who went that extra mile for charity - well done to everyone!
