August Bank Holiday weekend in Cleethorpes

Grab the summer by the scruff-of-the neck and make the most of the August Bank Holiday in Cleethorpes.

The next Bank Holiday is August 25-27, three long days to enjoy Cleethorpes and all it has to offer.

This Bank Holiday will be the last before Christmas! so why not make the most of it and get out there with the family.

Watch out for some precision flying from the SWIP Team Formation Team on Saturday, August 25, over Cleethorpes beach from 4pm.

On Saturday August 25, Cleethorpes goes Classical Pop! an evening  concert with special guest tenor Jonathan Ansell, of 'G4' fame at the at the Grimsby Auditorium tickets are now £15 (+ £1 restoration levy) - with no booking fee if you book in person at the Auditorium.

There will be another free air display with  some precision flying over Cleethorpes beach from the SWIP Team Formation Team on Saturday, August 25, from 4pm.

Pop to see Diane and  David Tovey at their home at 221 11th Avenue, Main Road Fitties open this Bank- Holiday weekend August 26 and 27 from 10am for home-made cakes teas and coffees, proceeds for the RNLI.

Over the weekend Waltham Windmill at Briglsey, is hosting a Model Engineering Event on Saturday 25 to  Monday 27.

On Sunday August 26 'Elvis Lives in Cleethorpes' at the Kingpin and Café Rock Piazza, Central Promenade, 3.30pm and 6.30pm when Steve Caprice  will be getting 'All Shook Up'

Monday August 27, you can enjoy a Traditional Summer Fayre in Cleethorpes at the Meridian Showground entry is  just £1.

Of course there are many other places to visit in Cleethorpes.

There's is nothing like some good old-fashioned fun digging sandcastles or paddling  on Cleethorpes  Blue Flag-rated beach, with its clean golden sands that stretch for four miles.

You could stroll along the Boating Lake and hire a boat, stop off t the Discovery Centre for a coffee or lunch and browse the gift shop and the Artlandish galleries for free.

Catch a train at the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway or get a free lolly when you ride the Tonka Train along the prom.

Get up close and and talk with the animals at the Jungle Zoo or ride all day  at Pleasure Island.

If you and yours are feeling sporty, Cleethorpes Leisure Centre is the place to be, with its indoor pool, including wave machine and aqua slide, well equipped gym and large sports hall.

All around Cleethorpes you can't help you admire our glorious parks and gardens along the seafront, awarded gold by Royal Horticultural Society judges in the annual In Bloom competition.

Families do get hungry and there is no better place to be hungry than in Cleethorpes.

From award winning fish and chips, takeaways, a thriving cafe culture, quality pub grub and American, Chinese,  English,  French,  Indian, Italian,  Pizzeria,  Pub Food,  Seafood,  Thai and  Turkish restaurants ready to serve.
